Helichrysum

There are about ten species of Helichrysum in Greece, and in Amorgos, apart from Helichrysum italicum and Helichrysum stoechas, there is also in very inaccessible areas an extremely rare local species, Helichrysum amorginum with white flowers, which is protected as an endangered species and is forbidden by law to be collected and sold.

Anti-inflammatory and sedative properties

It has excellent anti-inflammatory and sedative properties due to the presence of esters 40% antispasmodic and sedative effect and rejuvenating cellular function due to diketones. Its rejuvenating action on cells is a valuable ally in the fight against skin aging. It also helps in cases of eczema, acne, skin irritations, burns and scars. It can dissolve old hematomas and helps in cases of phlebitis. Contains hydrocarbons, flavonoids, camphor, quercetin, sesquiterpene, lutein, luteolin, neroli ethyl ester.
